The first European cultural channel in Full HD
Brava HDTV is the first European cultural channel that broadcasts in Full High Definition (HD). The programming offers round the clock opera, ballet and concertos in Full HD (1920 x 1080i) image quality and Dolby Surround (E) sound quality.
All productions were recorded in established and famous Opera Houses such as the Royal Opera House in London, the Teatro Real in Madrid and La Scala in Milan. Brava HDTV allows you toe enjoy full-scale stage performances such as La Bohème, Othello, Aïda, Swan Lake, Tosca, Zoroastre and Cosi Fan Tutte in the comfort of your own home. And in the best image and sound quality available today! All our operas are standard subtitled in English, French, Dutch and when available, Spanish.

Unlike its competitors, Brava HDTV is free of advertising. The programs are not interrupted by commercials to guarantee a maximum comfort to its demanding subscribers.
Brava HDTV can be received by cable, DSL, satellite on several platforms in Europe and is currently negotiating some new contracts that will make the channel available around the world.
Brava HDT started its activities in July 2007 on the local cable network of CAIW in the Netherlands. On November 15, 2007 the Belgian cable platform INDI started distributing Brava HDTV. Talks are underway for distribution of Brava HDTV in Ireland, Poland and Switzerland in the near future. Brava HDTV is also available in major parts of Europe through the ADSL "Ziggo" since January 2008 and the dutch-operated "CanalDigitaal" since April 2008. Brava is also available through Numericable in France and in Belgium (Coditel) since July 2008.
